I took a really cool glass pendant making class with Natasha today at this little glass art studio. The goal was to cut pieces of glass with glass cutters and layer them to create the right effect once it melts in the kiln. The piece will cure for about a week at the studio and it can be picked up next weekend. This was a really cool weekend activity, way cooler than pulling out dandelions from the yard! I think the hardest part was coming to a decision amongst all of the color choices and options. I would like to explore this glass stuff more I think.
After our class, we grabbed lunch at this outdoor shopping and dining area – the weather was perfect. Normal people probably don’t consider going to Whole Foods a fun buddy experience, but we both Really love Whole Foods. I don’t get to shop there that often since there isn’t really one that nearby, and that location is just Mehh. The store we went to today was gigantic! I stocked up on produce and meats because this week I plan to ease my way into the Paleo Diet (more on that later). I had about 3 very light bags of foods, and I’m not exactly sure what happened… either one of the baggers didn’t give me a bag or I left it in the cart (which is most likely) so I left without a bag with most of my meat. The moment when I realized this was one of the worst feelings ever. I spent like $30 just on the missing items and I was like really distraught and upset by this. Ground Beef, marinated steak tips, organic chicken breasts: OMG!! It’s the cost of the items that is annoying, but the even more annoying part is how awesome that food would have been to cook and eat… stuff at my local grocery store just doesn’t even compare.
I feel like some days, I shouldn’t even be allowed out in public.
