Happy long weekend and don’t we all deserve some time away from the real world for awhile? I think so.
Friday, I did not get out of work early like everyone else on the planet. Instead I was subjected to a full day’s worth of number crunching and calculator pounding. It was thrilling, but not as thrilling as having my face touch the sun on a beautiful Friday. Luckily, when I got home from work there was a package waiting for me with….2 cookies inside!! Yeah, like who has cookies sent to them? Foodies do, with Foodie friends.
May I present to you The Compost Cookie from Momofuku. Why does it have such a ridiculous name? Because there is literally everything under the sun in this fine little dessert like pretzels, chips, coffee grounds, and graham cracker crumbs. You can try to make one at home if you’re not in NYC with this recipe.
My thoughts on the flavor: Good flavor, interesting textures, nice and sweet. The only thing I didn’t like was how oily it was. You know when you put a cookie down and all the oil seeps into your napkin revealing something you didn’t want to see? I would eat this again though : )
