Healthy Shakes with Nutella MMMM

I think I figured out this whole protein shake thing.  First off, I can’t drink it alone so there needs to be something else thrown in the blender with it.  Second, it’s not meant to taste as good as say a milkshake.

Today’s recipe:
Vega Complete Whole Food Health Optimizer – Vanilla Chai flavor
1 ripe banana
1/2 water and 1/2 almond milk
1 teaspoon of nutella
All in the blender for about 45 seconds.

Obviously this sounds delicious right?  It was.  Yeah I could see some nice minerals in there and all sorts of plant things, but I drank it and enjoyed it. 

Now I have 22% of my daily in take of protein and all the vitamins and minerals I will need for most of the day just in one drink.  22% might not sound like a lot of protein, but I could literally go days without eating any at all.  I really need to make an effort to pack a Greek yogurt or to throw some chick peas into my salads, it’s just not as easy as it seems when you’re not a huge meat person. 

After finishing my healthy drink, I’m off to BBQ and have a few beers.  This healthy drink may also prevent hangovers, that would be convenient.
