Oh man, I got my super sized bottom to the gym today. I was thinking that I was really doing myself a favor by pushing myself to get there even though I’m feeling really down in the dumps. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill, this is like minor league gym going. You know what happened? I bought new sneakers last week but I’m just now discovering that they aren’t supporting my arches enough. My right arch hurt so bad by the time I got through 1.5 miles that I had to walk, and then I found that walking made it hurt just as much so I had to head home. I’m going to slip my Super Feet insoles in them tomorrow and see if that feels better, it should, but I can never really know. I will give a sneaker review once I figure this part out…I don’t think it’s fair quite yet. Switching brands can be really hard mentally on top of the small physical changes. I get very attached to things, but I think most runners feel this way about their sneakers too.
You know what else can be hard mentally? Seeing yourself through the lens of Photobooth. I can’t believe I forgot about this little extra on the computer until now. There will be more to come of these, I know it. It’s all so anime!
