My first Green Monster.
I should have planned better.
Ingredients: Ice, low fat lactaid milk, baby spinach, 1 tbsp of flax. Um, I don’t know what I did wrong, but I’m pretty sure I did a lot wrong. I blended and blended and the spinach was still pretty chunky, the ice was pretty chunky, and it was just a bit odd. I didn’t taste the spinach at all, as promised, and the flax was very nutty and good. It was more the texture I was unhappy with, maybe I used too much ice, maybe my blender just is a piece of crap? A good tip if you plan on trying to make one of these: have straws on hand. I was using a spoon to eat this thing, which makes things way more complicated. I guess it’s kind of obvious, but I’m not sure I’ve ever had straws in my household.
The reason for these green monsters is to really get a blast of nutrients in your body, a whole serving or two of leafy greens in a tasty and easy way. I’m not sure it’s for me, I tried, but I like things to be even easier than dreamed of. I haven’t given up quite yet, I’ll try another one soon…
